Billund

Welcome to Billund!
 
Billund is a small town in Denmark, where you can find the LEGO Group headquarters. A city also known for its theme park, Legoland, and the Billund Airport, which is the second largest airport in Denmark.
 
In the outskirts of the city is the LEGO factory where 90% of the company's products are made. Close to the company's headquarters is the first LEGOLAND theme park called Legoland Billund.
 
This is a popular destination for tourists especially families with children.
 
LEGOLAND Billund is the first Legoland park and opened on the 7th of June in 1968 in Billund, Denmark. The park is located next to the LEGO factory and Billund Airport.
 
More than 1.9 million visitors visited the park in 2011 and since opening more than 50 million people visited the park. This makes Legoland is the largest tourist attraction in Denmark outside Copenhagen. The other Legoland parks that have been built are modeled based on Legoland Billund, most notably miniland area which is composed of millions of Lego blocks.
 
Since 2009, Billund has also been home to Lalandia Billund, a water park and activity center.
 
Other famous atractions in Billund are the Givskud ZooKongernes Jelling Museum and the Vandel Museum.
